Wireless Broadband

Wireless Broadband Services are slowly evolving in some areas of Devon and Somerset. Domestic packages costing circa £25 per month for up to 20mbps area dependent*. Healthy download limits and low latency make these ideal for gaming and streaming TV. *Speed however is dependent on location in relation to the transmitters and coverage is very limited. the downside with some of these larger systems is they do rely on relayed signals from property to property and should the chain be broken for any reason, everything down line goes offline until the issue is addressed.

Wireless Broadband

These new services are supplied by a various Companies, and we have had the enviable task, and un-enviable task sometimes (farm dependent) of installing some of the basic infrastructure for some of them. Enjoy some of the below pictures. Even the Cows have Superfast Broadband in North Devon. Helps them keep an eye on milk prices..... Seriously, up to 20Mbps in some areas, including West Down, Fremington, Yelland, Bickington, Roundswell and parts of Barnstaple. Best of all, no phone line required. Call us for a signal check now.

Personally speaking, I live in Fremington and have now gone from a 1.5Mbps BT ADSL2 service with phone line at £40 odd a month, to a Wireless Service at 23Mbps on some days, with no phone line and just £25 per month. Over ten times faster for less money. If BT ever do supply extra Fibre capacity to Fremington, and Openreach recon not for the next 4 years, then I shall be a brand new Customer to BT, so look forward to a great new Customer deal from BT to come back, or maybe stay as I am, at least I have a choice.....hurrah...
